Saw a post about Musical Paradise having a Black Friday sale, made me wonder whether CAM folks know of other places posting good deals over the next few days?

Not super high fi, but visions has the nad m51 DAC/preamp on for $999. It caught my eye as its one of the few stereo preamps that has HDMI inputs and outputs so you could hook up say a BluRay player to it then have the video go on to a tv. Visions also has the usual sale prices on kef speakers. Visions also has a Sunfire 10 inch sub on for 1150. SVS subs in the states is having a sale of sorts on their pretty well regarded subs. But with that it USA only so a little more complicated for us Canucks.

Joel,

Think you misread the flyer. The Sunfire sub on sale is priced at $1150 (sale price). The KEF dual 10" sub located right beside it is the unit on for $398...

You are correct. I actually didn't see the physical flyer. I saw this listed on another forum discussion regarding sub sales for black Friday and it was listed there with the incorrect price. My mistake for not verifying the price. It seemed too cheap. I have corrected my original post now.

Not a fan of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday ridiculousness.... We give deals like that 365 days a year anyways.

Record Store Day falls into the same boat of ridiculousness.

I'm listening to the new Brio now, with a different table though, and it is an impressive unit.

Last post (on car audio recomendations) you told us all to "stop scaring off the new op and answer the question..."

Well, - are you going to join in on the post or poo-poo the ops reason for posting.

Whether "Black Friday" is a odd phenomenon or not is not the reason of the ops post. It's to talk about some great deals.

In a hobby that can get very costly, and has its inherent mark up - we will take the deals kindy.

To the post, Fairview is pretty reasonable in pricing - so, i' d agree the Rega deal seems pretty nice.

I was going to cheap out Trutone this weekend...kinda hoping there is a juicy sale on a new Technics deck!

Anyone know of Baybloor is doing anything special?

Ha! Got me there. Black Friday is just a sore spot with me. Actually, I regretted posting that, I was in a bad mood bombarded with all the Black Friday stuff.

My apologies to the OP.

I'll bet. They also have Monitor Audio Bronze @25% off. A young fella could walk out of there with a real nice starter vinyl set for likely $1500-$2000 + tax.

You are absolutely correct, and to answer another post here, there are no deal to be add on this absurd Black Friday American phenomena, it's a scam, pure and simple.
A wise person will always do his shopping throughout the year, and not join a crowd like a bunch of sheaps, anyway, to each his own...

At a local vintage hifi and music store in Vancouver bc, a combined offer a Marantz 2265b for $699 plus sales and electronic waste tax; and this mint McIntosh 2100 solid state poweramp for $820 CAD if today I fully payed them both. A thousand dollars cad black friday discount . I also payed a $50 CAD downpayment for a marantz 6100 turntable retail $280,00 CAD before tax at this hifi store which I pick up next paycheck last week December 2017.
You can get lucky on black friday although first day of the month i spend al the air today of my "montly paycheck" already as good as broke.

Plus three cd carousels from the 80's two technics and one from Sony at a local ASPC thrift store for total of $38 CAD. Black Friday discount of 30%.

Time to go to to the local discount no brand supermarket and stuff my fridge for a month LOL!

Picked this up today for 20% off at the new home of Milkcrate Records and listening to it right now. Roy Dunnan and Analogue Productions are a match made in heaven!

I was also suprised by the wife with an early stocking stuffer present she picked up for me today at House of Knives. Shun knives are a thing of beauty to behold and use and not often on sale at 50% off. You can cut wafter thin slices of tomatoes with this baby!
