always check your local kijiji, as every now and then, someone will dump a 15 in 1 harmony remote, for maybe $50 ('one','one plus', 900, etc). Those were originally $300, and worth every cent of the $50 -if minty. especially if one is prone to buying used gear.

like so. Even if you have to get a $20 battery for it (weak), it's still a steal, if it is working fine.

(if the link is gone when you read this, it was a mint looking 'one plus', a 15 in 1, for $30)

Wow, I paid a lot of Harmony One a few years ago... had to sell it almost right away, since I needed RF capable remote - went with 890, which is dying now.

No not the same. I remembered seeing that topic here on CAM, and looked into it. Good on them though, as they saw and heard the backlash, so did the right thing

This is the one I had before and although a very good remote, over time the LCD screen just stopped working properly. Had the 1100 before that and same thing, LCD screen went. Switched to a low end 350 no touch screen and it's worked like a charm, only downside it you can only program 1 activity.

I like the features on the link I posted as you get the best of both worlds. Simplicity of a basic universal remote and the option to go more in depth with a smart phone or tablet. And being RF is a nice feature too.

The great thing about the included remote is that the battery lasts, seemingly forever, and when you do need to replace it is a common CR2032 coin battery. Balance of seldom used functionality can be accessed from IOS or Android device.

Included IR sender is also strong enough to bounce off the inside of cabinets.

Works great with Roku devices.

All for current sale price of $90.

The description on Best Buy shows that combo comes with the Harmony Hub, which is the replacement for the Link. The Hub alone sells at retail for $129.99, but the official Logitech site has a sale for the Harmony Companion for $129.99 which is a similar bundle to what Best Buy is selling with a slightly different remote. The difference appears to be a few extra buttons, so the Best Buy deal is solid.

I bought a Harmony 900 for ten bucks on kijiji because I needed the battery for my Harmony One.
The seller said that the battery was good but that the remote wouldn't connect via the USB cable.
As it happens, the battery worked great and so did the USB connection. Great buy for ten bucks.
