Awesome, great news! Is it possible in either to browse by label, do you know?

I tried that but no.

I found this link to their artist catalogue:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category: ... ds_artists

and this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_E ... rds_albums

I am most interested in their New Series collections but like almost all their music.
Listening to Ralph Towner - My Foolish Heart & Keith Jarrett / Charlie Haden - Last Dance

So good! Finally.

Maybe, if they start streaming MQA ECM.

Yes, and Spotify has the New Series!

One more link... this is the ECM Catalogue with cd covers, and descriptions

https://www.ecmrecords.com/catalogue

I've already found a ton more new music. The series are broken out. I really like the music on the NEW SERIES

Listening to Anja Lechner doing Valentin Silvestrov’s music for solo violoncello and for two cellos.
Also check out Valentin Silvestrov's "Bagatellen and Serenaden"; or his "Silent Songs" if you like lieder

I must check it out.... it seems that Streaming Wars will soon heat up and there will be more market consolidation. Don't want to be on the losing end like I was with Rdio. I tried Tidal and Deezer because of cd quality streaming; but found more of the music I like on Deezer than Tidal. Same artists but better music selection on Deezer. I think Spotify is one of the larger players. I'd line up with Apple or Google but they don't have cd quality and their music selection is spotty (esp. apple). Tidal is interesting because of MQA but I don't have an MQA decoder (yet). I fully expect everyone will offer MQA in the near future so don't think its a market differentiator.

I was mistaken: Spodify is not cd quality but apparently is looking to offer that. Nevertheless to these ears Edition Lockenhaus sounds very nice.

Tord Gustavsen - he's great. Thanks for the reminder. I found another one I had not heard before.
I've been working my way through the ECM catalogue, pasting names/albums into Sonos, listening .. already have a HUGE (or as P. Trump says "Yuge") Playlist for further listening.... what a windfall. I'm going to have to improve my lifestyle to live long enough to listen to all this great music.

And most of the Tord Gustavsen are in Masters (MQA); streaming in 96/24 via the Tidal desktop app.

Also the latest Anour Brahem with Jack DeJohnette and Dave Holland is up on Tidal: Blue MaqamsImage

I have been meaning to listen to that one for a while...one real (unexpected) standout on this album is the piano play by Django Bates.

This news makes my day, thanks! I started listening to ECM years ago when I discovered Tord Gustavsen Trio Changing Places and have been a big ECM fan since.

I'd be interested to hear what ECM fans top five or ten releases on the label are...mine are likely:

Keith Jarrett - The Köln Concert (yes, it's an easy choice, but just so.damn.good! ;) )
Pat Metheny - Bright Size Life and Offramp
Jack DeJohnette - Special Edition
Arvo Pärt - Tabula Rasa

There are five anyway.
Now, what would be fantastic is if Spotify could get a couple more labels like Hat Hut, Pablo, and even along some of ECM lines, Windham Hill...though they're all defunct labels now I suppose..

Big ECM fan here and have been since the early 70's. Not into streaming at this point. I do own over 400 ECM CDs and a couple of hundred LPs. None of the New Series in my collection however. I would find it impossible to pick my top five or ten recordings. Just so much incredible music to choose from. The Bright Size Life record would definitely be in my top ten if I were attempt such a thing. I still have that cover laminated and hanging on a wall in my house. Glad to see other fans of the label here.......
