Hello friends,

I’d like to hear your opinion on Musical Paradise MP-P2 phono preamp. I’m thinking about upgrading my phono stage. Currently I have PS Audio GCPH Preamplifier w/Underwood mods by Parts Connection. My TT is Rega RP6 with Dynavector 10x5.

Being very happy with Musical Paradise MP-D2 tube DAC and also after reading very positive reviews of MP-P1 phono stage I thought it would be very interesting to try the new MP-P2 phono.

Please provide your input on:
    - your general experience/opinion about MP-P2
    - your thoughts on matching MP-P2 with Dynavector 10x5

Thanks

Sorry for thread drift, but I have a P6 with 10X5, on an origin live 250 tonearm. I currently am using a Project tube box DS and I LOVE it. If you get a chance, give it a try. The adjustability of the Project is awesome.

Again, sorry for the thread drift, but I am really thrilled with the choice I made. I am interested in hearing more about the MP unit.

I certainly hope that the MP-P2 is better than the poorly designed and Hum plagued MP-P1. The one thing I like about the P2 is that the power supply looks better isolated from the amp section and it's friendlier to tweaking. The P1 sounds OK but it's got some issues. I ran the P1 with a Dyna 20x2 and it sounded like there was great synergy between the 2 so I can only imagine the P2 is more of the same. Musical Paradise definitely has a house sound and you either like it or you don't. Maybe email Garry and see if he has one on hand for demo and he might ship it out to you.

My MP-P1 sounds absolutely fabulous paired with my MP-501 V3.

I'm looking forward to a MP-P2 someday soon.
