Hi, apologies if this has been asked already. I have a Moon NEO 340i and I am really interested in a pair of ATC SCM11's. I am wondering if anyone has experience with this pairing. I have read great reviews on the SCM11's but I won't have a chance to listen before ordering. I want to ensure the sound signature of both is a good match and I also want to ensure the 340 has enough power to make them perform at their best. I know they recommend 75 watt and up for power but I also read they benefit from higher wattage. Is the 340i up for the task!

Thanks for the guidance.

The 340i should have no problems driving SCM11's. Of the entire entry series I found 11's to be the most forgiving with amplification. For example they sound very good with a Rogue Sphinx and it is by no means a powerhouse. I've never paired MOON and ATC so I can't comment on sound quality/synergy.

The non-neo 340i I have, I think, could power almost any speaker. I barely touch the '3' position on the dial with my kit and the room is filed with bliss.

Sim Audio Moon 340i integrated, Naim CD 5i (2), Rega RP6, Ortofon 2M Bronze / Denon DL 110, Dynavector P85 (3) phono pre, Monitor Audio Gold GX 100 with stands, Cardas Neutral Reference speaker + ic's / Cross pc's.

Of all my imaginary friends, I don't think there was one that I didn't end up having to kill - Jack Handy

+1. The 340i should have absolutely no problem driving them in terms of power.

Thank-you everyone for information. The replies have been very helpful and ease my concerns in the absence of an ATC audition with the 340i. I am looking forward to the setup!

I take it that Peak Audio doesn't have a pair in stock?. They were really good about giving me a trial period for the 40's I bought there.

Unfortunately, Peak does not have them in stock at the store so I will need to order them in. Did you order the ATC's in or did they have them on the floor? They are great to work with.

They had mine set up in their main room. I went there to listen to 19's and well, you know how it goes.

I've had mine for 9 months and still can't find one flaw. Trust me, that's a record and they're keepers.
