is now shipping their Annex Bookshelf / Monitor Premium Speaker Kit designed to deliver exceptional performance typical of well regarded and successful Audiophile speakers.
The Annex Speaker kit was designed by Mark Mason, an award winning speaker designer and 25 year industry veteran. While a 2-way bookshelf is ubiquitous in the DIY market, Mason’s professional design pedigree has resulted in an unprecedented level of DIY kit performance, now available to the first time speaker kit builder.
The bass reflex Annex Speaker employs a 1” soft dome tweeter, a 6.5” natural fiber cone woofer and a fully assembled passive crossover. The kit is available in a flat pack cabinet version including all parts required to assemble the speaker, or in a basic version without the cabinet panels. The CNC machined cabinet panels and crossovers are made in Canada. The speaker was designed in Make Audio’s local acoustic test facility and IEC listening room which has been calibrated to the NRC (National Research Council) acoustic test facility in Ottawa, Ontario.
“This speaker kit is perfect for the first time DIY speaker builder. Assembly is very straightforward and every part is included; even the wood glue and screws. With professional design, meticulous voicing and extensive quality control, top notch Audiophile performance is guaranteed.” said Mark Mason, Make Audio founder and chief designer.
Make Audio sells online, direct to the end user. Pricing for the full Annex speaker kit (including flat pack cabinet panels) is $349/speaker; basic Annex speaker kit (with major part minus the cabinet) is $269/speaker.
