Anybody remember shurlyn speakers? They seemed to dissappear sometime in the 80s. What little the Internet said suggested that these were loaded with KEF drivers and Dale something (forgot name). Well turns out there loaded with poly Dax / audax drivers. That's why they sounded so damn good. Also I took a few shots of the crossover. So far this is a really good build for a Canadian company that just didn't make it and faded away. The cabinets are trashed so they may be just parts. Also what ever foam that was used under the rubber woofer surrounds is letting go.

Anybody remember these? Or have any of the sale bouchures lying around that there willing to share?

I have a pair of Shurlyn speakers I bought new in Calgary in 1978. Paid $244 for the pair, supposedly "at cost." The cabinet is fairly large and heavy, with real wood veneer -- very nicely finished. No model number. I think the tweeter might be a KEF. They sound smooth and fairly neutral, and have surprisingly deep bass. I drive them with a Kenwood KA801, also bought (used) in Calgary in 1982. Sounds great to me.

Your Shurlyn speakers have KEF drivers.
The tweeter is the T27, type SP1032

The Bass/midrange unit is the B200 series 8" (203mm) Bextrene cone driver.
Now this unit came in different version/type
SP1014, SP1022, SP1039, SP1047, SP1054, and the SP1063.

If you take it off, you will see the marking on the back. There are all rated at 8 OHM.
You have excellent speakers. All these drivers where found on different versions of KEF produced in the 70s, and 80s.
