I'm pretty sure you can get it done through Executive Stereo on Avenue Road, just south of the 401 in Toronto. Ask for Rob Tracy - he used to run All in One Electronic Repair- a much missed shop now. He's a good guy as well.

Drago is another candidate. He is in the Burnhamthorpe and Dixie area of Mississauga.

Good to know where Rob went.

The name Executive Stereo gave me was Roger Sherman.

Well, I don't know Roger Sherman, but I do know Rob from back in the early 80s when he worked at Bay Bloor Radio (so did I). Fast forward 20 years and I bumped into him at All-In-One..........one of the FEW places left in Toronto that did credible service work. I also have a high regard for Dan Santoni in Hamilton, but I don't believe he aligns tuners. You have to have special equipment to do so, I'm told. I have a contact CAMer that gets his high end tuners aligned in Quebec. If you run out of options, I can put you in touch........

Anyone know of a reputable High End Tuner Technician with the proper equipment, that can do proper Alignments & Mods in South Western Ontario? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Birdieman,
I just talked to Rick on the phone and apparently they have 7 Techs there that specialize in High End Audio one of which used to work at Kenwood. They are an authorized factory warranty service centre and have all the proper equipment required to do Alignments & ALL mods necessary to upgrade your tuner to the MAX  I've attached a list of all the manufactures they cover. Thanks again
Nick

When Rob Tracy was closing up shop at All-in-One I contacted him to ask him if he could refer someone to work on AM/FM tuners. He said there was nobody better than Rick at O.A.V.S.

I would ask first if they have proper equipment to do alignment. You need lab quality FM stereo alignment generator and a scope.Lot of people call tweaking trimmers and coils by ear an alignment.

Has anyone actually had any of their tuners worked on by any of the above noted techs, and can recommend them ? My Luxman T12 could use a bit of work, and a good alignment.
PM me if you'd rather take the conversation offline. 8)

Depending on the model, you can attempt to do it yourself as it can take lot's of time. Download the service manual.
