My Sony SCD-1 is in need of repairs  -does anyone have any experience with this type of service in the Vancouver area? Does anyone know of a service tech/shop experienced and trust worthy with these units?

It is having issues reading the disc. There is a whine from the tray, says 'no disc,' and will even stop when in the process of playing a disc. Fast forward/rewind/skip track also an issue. I would assume from the above a motor is defective? I know there is a Sony repair centre in Coquitlam, but I also know their experience is limited with the SCD-1 (not many around.) And if anyone is knowledgeable in this regard, is there something you might also replace at the same time as a preventative measure?
Thanks CAMers
