Certainly, my audio/2 channel stereo affliction is my primary hobby.

Though I also indulge in vintage collectible motorcycles and the motorcycle world. I own a 1970 BSA 650 Lightning and am absolutely gorgeous 1974 Ducati 350 Desmo which I had restored over the past three years. Amusingly, they both reside in my living room as "works of art". No WAF necessary -- no wife. :)

Although I'm not as much into it as I used to be ( my audio affliction having taken over in a big way ) .. I still collect from time to time diecast collectible cars. In fact I have a few hundred of them in both 1/18 and 1/12 scale. The primary focus of my collection is Ferrari automobiles.

Just curious to know from the other members what else you might enjoy...?

Started Digital SLR photography 3 years ago with multiple Canon lense and etc... Photography can easily take up time and money as well, but it is fun to understand the science behind the hobby.

I Also had typical fresh water aquarium since I was 10 years old. This is more a relaxing hobby. Now I'm still using my aquarium to teach my little kids how to be responsible by taking care of them.

To balance the budget for my 2 channels / 5.1 home theater and etc... That's why the the RRSP is lacking every year :D ; but, if you don't enjoy life now, when are you going to do it?

cheers.

Cooking. My wife and I spent large to outfit our rather small but efficient kitchen with a gas stove and the goodies to do justice to good food. My specilaties tend to be hot and spicy - Indian and Mexican predominatly, with lots of grilling in the summer months.

Used to have a small but nice collection of mint condition Corgi's until my wife, not realizing their value, gave them away to little kids who promptly trashed them. This occured while I was working out of town. Not amused! :x
Saw some of the ones I owned on the UK Antidues Road Show recently. The circus set that I had was valued at over a $1,000!

BTW, does habitual alcohol consumption rate as a hobby?

I collect and make my own pipes. I also dabble in cabinet making when I have the time.

This thread moved to CM Lounge due to its non-audio related nature...

Happy Trails!

Well, it can certainly be an obsession!

Oh and I think that it can be considered a hobby to some , and one comparably as expensive as audio (with an even worse return policy for used gear  )!!!

Cheers

Sail boat and a Jeep 4x4
Can't ever seem to find any hobbies that are free-or even "less-expensive"
