Does anyone have any suggestions where I can purchase a carousel/multi CD player in silver? I realize that a single CD player will offer greater sound quality; however, just looking for something to play continuous background music. Also, it would be a bonus to find one in silver to match the rest of the audio system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for vintage or new? Price range?

I hate to say it, but this might be a time where ebay would come in handy. There is a Denon DCM-370 on there at $1 + $30 shipping. No remote, but for background music, just let it run. There are various other units as well. Probably the cheapest option - if that is your primary concern.

Cheers

The silver color is the big problem here; pretty much everything made in the past 5 years or so has been black and that Denon is black.

Yes, the only silver changers I can think of off the top of my head are Yamaha and Rotel.

10 years ago, silver was still a common color for mass market hi-fi gear.

The only recent one I can think of right now is the Sony SCD-C2000ES. It came in silver or black. It can play SACDs as well. It's getting harder to find a new unit. You may want to try Amazon.com. By the way, I thought I saw a used one listed on CAM recently.

I should have mentioned that I am looking for something that is new (preferably) in the $150-225 range. I was at an audio store in the city yesterday and they had a Harmon Kardon FL8385 that was a floor model (brand new, no box, a couple of scratches, siver/black in color) for $200. I decided not to buy it right away and thought that I would research it a bit and found out that particular model doesn't have a lot of good reviews. Any thoughts???

Someone has just put his silver Sony 2000ES changer on sale.

Now that is a great unit at a great price and meets all of the OP's criteria except it is not actually new. If I were in the market for another changer, I'd go for it.

Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated. I have sent two replies to the seller outlining my interest in purchasing the CD player, just awaiting a response. I will let you know how I make out, thanks again for your help.
