If I was going to buy some Burrbrown vol chips how could I be sure I was getting real ones not knockoffs?

In other words where is the best place to buy them?

Depends on the chip you're interested in, in many cases you can order free samples from Texas Instrument's website (they bought Burr Brown several years ago). Can't beat free...http://www.ti.com/
