The guy on Kerr Street in Oakville (Records on Wheels) is sometimes open and his prices are unreasonable. I drive past the store once in a while but he is closed more often than not. Do you really need 10 copies of Lionel Richie "Dancing on the Ceiling" ranging in price from $10 to $40? The used records are in a dank, dusty and dimly lit basement. He only takes cash.
The last time I went there and he happened to be open, I left after 20 minutes, went home and had another shower! The rumour mill indicates he is willing to sell his hoard...I mean "collection" for a million bucks.
Pop Culture Vulture and The Beat Goes On, are both in Oakville and much better. They are good, clean, well lit and reasonably priced. PCV gets my vote are the largest selection of used & new records. Knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices.

Thank you very much! Much appreciated your feedback!

Happy New Year!

Try Don's place at Dixie mall flea market

Will that be only during the week-ends?

Yes only Saturday and Sunday. He's also retiring this year and has a sale going on. He's extended his usual boxing day sale and will be increasing the discounts until he's sold everything. Would be a good time to visit to take advantage of that discounts.

I used to go to Ric’s but he is pricey. You need to know what you are doing to find a deal there. Pencil is a bit too sharp.

I left Ric’s when I discovered PCV a couple of years ago. I pop in every Saturday morning and almost never leave empty-handed. Fair pricing and an excellent return policy.

Pricing needs to be fair for both the buyer & seller.
Like the old saying goes..."You get what you pay for". Bare in mind that Ric cleans & rates the condition of all his used records so paying a bit more is money well spent.
In addition, Ric has always been very accommodating if the quality expectations of new or used record(s) have not been met.

Considering how long he has been in business, Ric is doing something right. But I also think that he has more competition than in the past which highlights his premium pricing. But if you want quality, don’t want to clean the record and are willing to pay up, yes, Ric’s is fine.

Records not properly graded are of no interest to me.
