Some Martin Sexton on the Squeezebox.

Was pumped to go to his show at Peter's Place in Huntsville on Sunday......... But just heard he had to postpone due to the laryngitis. Bummer.

On the old record player tonight,

After a stupid week at work, this definitely hath charms... well you know.
This slab of plastic is astounding.
To me, it doesn't sound much like a bunch of hangers being thrown down the stairs.

Shout out to my friend in Burnaby for gracing me with this!

Tom Petty mixed CD I made tonight , less hits and more of the other cuts off all his recordings , of course there are some of the more heard ones cause I couldn't pass up on them as much as I tried , man 74 minutes is not enough , I think I will have to do a tape ?

Gentle Giant - Three Piece Suite (blu-Ray edition)

Checked out the original album mixes (transferred flat - 96/24 stereo) last night on the Oppo 95 - how nice!

Now on to the Steven Wilson remixes....

Saw this incredible band twice back in the 70's...what a privilege that was....

A brilliant and incredibly original band without question IMO.........

Playing tonight at 33.33 rpm. Love Ian Mcdougall's trombone playing. Saw him quite a few times in Victoria.

Still reeling from Petty's death - Wilburys (1988, vinyl). 'End of the Line' sung by Petty, appears oddly prophetic. Though, as Petty later said: 'Time to Move on.' The guy was an inspiration.

Never realized it until I read the liner notes but Chris's cd is produced by Tom Petty and Hillman does a nice version of Petty's Wildflowers.
A strange, unexpected but pleasant reminder of Petty's influence.
