Hi Chip, I'll bet you get some pretty serious bass out of that setup. Looks good.

Just picked up Shuguang 845-z from CAM. The 845 and 300b treasure is a magical combo on my LM-219.ImageImageImage

Yes, back breaking. One of those set in place and don't move it. Heavy like a safe.

I got bored of everything lately, and went vintage.

I've a soft spot for good vintage gear of that era. Some nice vintage setups among Canuck members.

I don't know why I never got into vintage sooner. After spending ridiculous gobs of money on modern "high end" gear, that always in the end left me wanting, a few hundred bucks on a vintage amp, and I have the sound I want.

That's a pretty amp. Man I miss meters.

Bit of a sad day today. Dismantled the main audio rig in the living room in prep for moving in with my girlfriend (which makes it all worthwhile, but sad none-the-less). Relocated the MAC music server to my office before I move to test out a pair of active Quad 12L’s speakers set up either side of the computer monitor in a near field configuration. The sound is very enjoyable. Makes working at the computer a real joy.

I attempted to use my main office MAC for double duty as my work machine and music server while at my desk, with the outboard DAC, but it wasn’t cutting it. I’ve already modified the MAC media server and tweaked it's hardware / software configuration to perform that function which it does beautifully.

New home can't accommodate my full rig, so I'll be using the near field setup as well as headphones as my go-to for music. Going to be a big change for me.
