I own a RITA also and just wanted to say that I you look at Grant Fidelitys website and take a look at RITA 880 in the products section it will say that the WHOLE external Chassis is anti vibration. Have never seen such an overbuilt exterior on any equipt I've ever seen.
Have seen and owned huge thick faceplate amps etc. Just never have seen sides and top, bottom and back like that.
MR ACOUSTAT YOU KEEP TRUCKEN IT WILL ONLY GET BETTER.

All the best Les

My granite will be delivered monday or tuesday, but i will post a few pictures tomorrow, with the piece of wood that i installed while waiting for the granite, not very sexy but at least i can run the system.

Not yet, will let it brake in, then compare with and without.

Mr Acoustat, you have Verity Audio in your own backyard, did you know that the original Parsiphal had a granite slab between the top module and the bass module?

They have for the last few years abandonned the granite because they found it was detrimental to their sound. There are references to this in reviews and interviews with Mr Pelchat.

This was when I first became aware that granite is not the best material to place your gear on.

And placing one component on top of the other isn't so good either.

Maybe that's just temporary?

Yes Chuck Lee the two components one on top of the other have nothing to do with my sound system, that's my wife's stuff, a dvd & illico cable box, if it was up to me,, they would not even be there, but a tv without cable, is not a tv.

Mr STAT what you can do with the granite if you wish is buy a couple of PKG of Blue-Tac and place pieces on the back rail and on the bottom away from the amp of course and you should be able to deaden the stone enough to at least help the cd player and any large ringing or stone passing to much vibration.

All the best Les

Thanks Les but the plate weights about 200 pounds, and is already deaden on the medite colums, also the cd player weights 50 pounds and is also deaden from the stone, this is not my first time with such a setup, never ad a probem with vibrations, i,m a tweak freak and those details for me are very important, if you notice the cd player on the pictures is not mine it is a loner Conrad Johnson DV-2B while my Electrocompaniet EMC-1up is out for ajustments.

PS: I do appreciate the suggestions thanks

Mr. Acoustat;

Do you use the system for the TV sound as well? I ask because your system layout with the TV looks nice and "clean". It must make for nice sounding movies.

Cheers,

Mike
