At my house it was very simple as I just grounded a splitter to the main home ground line that just happened to be right beside my main CATV line. It took 1 small piece of wire and 2 sec to attach. Shaw told me it would take 3weeks to get a tech out to troubleshoot the issue.

That's what I am going to do. They are right next to each other at my place as well.
Thank you!

tukosdad, don't ya wanna hear the yammie and see his gf, before deciding which one is worth turfin for the other??

P.S. : turfing a gf or wife is often excelent noise suppression in and of itself.

Shall we start a poll? Preamp or girlie?

We are getting off topic here, but if I add all the money I wasted on her during our 1.5 years together, I can get something REALLY nice...in $20K range?

OK, problem is solved. I simply wrapped one strand of speaker cable over the TV cable plug and put second end into 3rd pin opening on the power bar.

Thank you all for the input!

Just a bit late here but I had the same problem. I use a ground breaker and before that I just disconnected the cable at the set box.
Lifes to short to sit around and wait for Rogers.
