Don’t they all choose us? Zelda wasn’t my first pick at the shelter – I was originally looking at a Russian Blue. But Zelda was the first cat I was introduced to (her cage was closer to the office). When she was brought out of her cage, she crawled up my chest (inflicting pain), buried her head into my neck and gave out the loudest purr! She picked me and wasn’t letting go! I didn’t even get to meet the Russian Blue.

When 1 door closes another door opens. There could be a cat out there in the cold with your name on it as we speak. The more the merrier...

If I find another cat out in the cold that is a definite possibility but I only see my next door tenants cats making stops in my garage. She also has three cats and two dogs in my little 650 sq ft rental. She's lucky I like animals as there aren't a lot of houses for rent in my small town, especially ones that allow pets.

Woke up this morning to find Zelda at the computer browsing the Kitty Madison site with this handsome fella’s profile up on the screen! Maine Coon named Black Smoke. Beautiful cat!

3 cats and 2 dogs under 650 sq. ft. qualifies as a menagerie.

But seriously good on you for renting to an animal lover.

I know all too well. I don’t own a Christmas tree, just a kitty condo with cat toys hanging from it. Oh, and a Philips Hue over head light that changes from red to green.

There is another cat who has taken up residence in my garage. I thought it was my neighbours cat but now I think it's a stray. Someone stopped me in the grocery store and asked if it was mine. She said it was friendly and let her pick it up. I told her I hadn't seen it and that I would look out for it. I hear it scrambling to hide when I open the garage door but I haven't actually seen it. I have started putting out food for it, hopefully it will get tame enough for me to catch it and get it in from the cold.
