They look great. I listened to the tribe tower and the sky bookshelf speakers at the Montreal show. Didnt know they also had the sky tower there as well.

I inquired about these to Totem and their responses are below:

Quote:
Both of these are to be officially announced at CEDIA on Sept 7.

The Sky tower will use a proprietary driver designed by Totem and manufactured by WAVECOR.

The tribe tower does incorporate our TORRENT woofer technology and is aligned as our premium line.

Retail will be in the $5000-6000 range as this will include exclusive premium components.

The Sky tower will be in our traditional line offering excellent performance at an affordable package $2000-2500.

At those prices, the Sky Tower will be priced below the Hawk speaker. It'll be interesting to see how low these towers go, and the power handling capabilities.

I was looking for info on the Sky Tower again since September 7 is drawing near. I didn't realize that the Tower will have a different driver than the Sky stand mount speaker, and that's a bit of a departure in the classic line. The Sky has impressed reviewers with its Morel driver and that 3 inch voice coil. I'm curious as to why the driver was found not to be suitable in a tower cabinet.

Today is supposed to be the day that the Totem Sky Tower is officially announced at CEDIA. Looks like I'm the only one carrying a torch for this speaker, but it does look interesting.

I'm very curious about it as well but haven't heard anything further.

Haven't heard it, but they have a pair at Audioville here in Montreal. It arrived yesterday apparently.

I am interested to see how it compares against the Forest.

The Tribe tower looks very interesting. I was looking for a super slim tower so it might fit the bill if the Wavecor tweeter is a good match with the Torrent drivers.

The Tribe model would be into their higher end stuff, and no doubt very good. I'm wondering what price range the Sky Tower will end up at, and of course, how they sound. Totem dealers with actual brick and mortar stores are a bit of a drive for me, but once they are officially released, it would be worth a look.
