Some great speaker models mentioned.
For me I'd say: IMF TLS, Celestions Ditton 66,44, UL6, B&W 802FS, DM14 Active monitors, Radford, Cambridge audio R50.., so many more to consider

The last rebuilt 63's that I have observed go between $2400-2600 Canadian, well above the ceiling of $2000 dictated by this post. If you can get a pair that works well you will be entertained royally in return. The only electrostatics that are darn near bullet proof would be Acoustats. (some Acoustat X's are still performing gloriously after nearly 40 years of service)

I've seen used AV123/GR Research LS-6's for around the $2,000 CAD mark. Best value that I've ever seen, still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger.

Nobody has mentioned Vandersteen 2 series. New, close to budget, used, they will be well under budget.

I think the 2CE Sig IIs are too dark, but the 2Ci seems to be just right. Amazing resolution, stunning bass if fed well, which your rig might not do much. I use a Krell amp and enjoy real 20Hz action. I'd give 'em a listen.

Q acoustics concept 40s

Q acoustics 3050s

I'm sure you could find a great deal in some Bowers and Wilkins in the CM lineup as they have just been discontinued and dealers will be happy to reduce their price to make way for the second 700 series.
