For Vancouver I can highly recommend David Yee

He builds his own tube amps and also fixes stuff as well. He rewound a transformer for me on a tube amp and did extensive work on a Bedini 25/25. This guy really knows his stuff and his prices aren't outrageous. He's also an audio nut which is great as he gets the obsessive need that audiophiles have.

I won't post his contact info as I don't not have his permission but I found him through a Craigslist posting for tube repairs.

In the London or SW Ontario region you must try Bob at The Nostalgia Company. He is a qualified tech with a passion for the vintage stuff. I had him do a full resto on an amp and a receiver and have another unit in with him now. I highly recommend.

This is a great list, I just picked up an older Technics SL-D2 and would like to have it properly serviced. Anybody knows somebody in Mississauga? Thanks,

Can anyone recommend a place to repair/switch out a headphone 3.5mm plug that is cutting Ina me out? Would be best in west toronto or enroute up the 400 to Barrie inclusive. Ring audio in toronto is on the east end and has a 1 month wait list. Thanks.

First post here, but long-time attendee from the sidelines... :)

To let you all know, Claudio (CL Audio) of Mississauga has now retired and is no longer taking on any more work. This is a great shame, as he has done some excellent repairs and mods for me over the years. I will miss him. Great guy, and I wish him all the best in his retirement. May it be a long and happy one.

I am presently looking for someone to do an upgrade to a Sony TA-E86B preamp, and to do an inspection/refurb of a Sugden P28 power amp. My first stop will be to DTS in Hamilton, based on how many here speak so highly of Dan.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to getting the TA-E86B preamp upgraded. It's been recapped once already, about 20 years ago, but it really should be re-evaluated to see if it was done properly and if more is possible to really open up the sound. Looking forward to meeting Dan.

For those in/around the YEG (Central North Alberta) one of the finest techs I've run into for a very long time.

HI all. What happened to George at Experimental Electronics on Annette St. in Toronto. The phone number is no longer in service?????

Does anyone have experience with Glenn Dolick at Parts Connexion for repairing and modding stuff?
What about Excel Stereo?

I recently had some work done by Glenn at PCX.Not cheap but top quality. They also have some interesting vintage TTs for sale.
I have also had good luck with Ontario Audio Video Service in Brampton.

Anyone dealt with See's TV Repair in Cranbrook BC for service/repair of vintage stereo gear?
Have a Sansui 9090 that needs inspection and service.

Thanks!

Would like to thank Bob at The Nostalgia Company in London for fixing the start up problem with my NAD C370.
Done at a very reasonable cost and it's working and sounding as good as new :D

Around the Kitchener, Woodstock, London area in Ontario I would recommend Ideal Innovations. Syd Beaumont designs and builds tube amps and services all brands of amplifiers.
