The stand is of pretty standard “iron pipe and distressed wood” construction. The wood itself is “faux-distressed” – I purchase new lumber and use a variety of techniques to age it. The cable lifts were originally designed to rest on the floor but I like how they look mounted on the wall.

Nice job on the rack! I love your honest description of your system. Well done.

More like hybrid open baffle with the bass being enclosed. Interested in hearing more about them as you break those in...

Made a few recent changes...

Moved the ATC's from the anologue side to the digital system and replaced the Supernova with a Bryston BDA-3 so that I could run everything : Sat box, Blu-Ray, SONO's and BDP-1 through it. The ModWright is the heart of this system and I'm liking the results. There is also a Sansui tuner in this system for all my FM listening but it's hiding behind the TT.

Replaced the Middle T's with Totem Fires and hooked them up to the Icon / Gryphon combo for Vinyl playback. Also replaced the Rega RP-6 with a Bryston BLP-1 with very nice results. Next step will be to upgrade the phono pre ( moon 110LP ) as I've heard this TT with better pre's and the difference is impressive.

Ken.

David,
The picture is not quite up to date. Since it was taken I've discovered that both systems sound better with the speaker position switched. Getting better base from the Fires and better imaging, stage etc from both.
Ken.

Sweet SC-IV/A's. They probably provide bottom to top satisfaction. SC-V's were in one of the best setups I heard some years ago.

tohifi - So I have to ask….how many bottles of scotch did it cost you to pay off your friends to assist in moving those big @$$ Dunlavy’s into your basement? Awesome setup!

Kevin 666 - I had my eye on those speakers and came close to reaching out to the seller but my father is not in the best of health which took priority. TBO, I’m not the biggest fan of the colour of your walls but man, you really pulled it together with the rest of the room. Well done…I like it! Enjoy!
