Thanks David. Yes, to me this system just sounds right. Haven't been buying any new equipment for the last 8 months and I have no desire too. Now just been consuming music nightly and looking for more music to add to my collections.

Any suggestions for music? Looking for some new artist to try.

I find a lot of new music by reading the threads here on what folks are listening too. Lately, I've been enjoying Jason Isbell's latest album quite a bit.
Again, congratulations on putting together a system you enjoy so much!

Great system Noiliew!

It is encouraging to hear that a Maggie lover from the old days has returned to the fold. Or perhaps it is better described as the "asylum" :D

Amazing how much better a room looks- and sounds - with a pair of Maggies as its focal point. I have not encountered many Magneplanar
owners since moving back to Saskatchewan which should not be a surprise since there is not a single dealer in the province. Please,
someone call Wendell Diller and start stocking and promoting the Maggie line. One can always dream!

My setup is made up of some vintage and not so old pieces. The speakers is named my 'What Puppies'; Ar 10pi and Elac 310 that are bi-amped with 2 YBA 3. Pre is YBA DELTA 2. Cd drive is Accustic Arts and dac is also AA. Turntables are Linn lp12 (1977) original version and a Denon 103. The other table is a Clearaudio Performance dc with Dynavector 17D3 with a Bluenote phono stage. Cables are Cardas Clear digital and Golden reference interconnects. Speaker cables are Van den Hul The Wind and D352 to the ARs. For me this the best sounding combo I have been able to put together after many iterations. It takes time and trial and error to get the sound that pleases you; it is not about looks. Note, the speaker bases are a work in progress; looking for the optimum height and vibration isolation.

Nice system Leo1.
Looks like you've worked hard over the years chasing the audio bug like the rest of us.
Your system has taste and probably sounds well worth the effort.
Congrats!

Love the Maggies. Would love to return to them someday after my year with the 1.6's.

Are you powering the panels with the line magnetic?? How much power does it have?

Hi analogluvr, yes my LM219 is powering my Maggie with 24W. It's the sound I am looking for. Wonderful midrange, 3D imaging, great layering of instruments, and yes it has great panel bass within its limit. That's why I have my SVS sub coming in at 43Hz.

Remember that I am running my LM219 direct from PWD2 bypassing the preamp section. It was not a good match when running with the preamp. The sound was muddy and slow. I was gonna sell my Maggie, but then I tried direct connection to the amp. This is when the magic happens.

This simplified 2 channel system consisting of PS Audio, Pass Labs and Tekton in rotation today is the best overall sound I've had in the room.

Gladly.
A very simple molding of 8' purchased at Home Depot and stained with a Minwax ebony stain 2x then air nailed into the wall in 10 minutes. Very easy. I provide a closeup of the molding as it has a lip to keep the albums in place.
