Quite a few changes since I last posted:

Rogue Audio Tempest III (replacing Anthem 225)
Oppo 205 (replacing Xbox One S and Moon 300D V1 DAC)
PSB Imagine 2XT (replacing Paradigm Studio 60 V5)
and added Graham Slee Era Gold V phono amp.

Could you give us an idea of the pros/cons of the PSBs vs your previous Paradigms?

I would say they sound alike but the PSB goes deeper and plays louder. They both offer great value and both sound great all the time instead of incredible sometimes and ear-scratching the rest of the time (the Nautilus 804 for example).

The combination of bigger woofers and much bigger cabinets are the cause of the deeper bass. I think they were a little better with my more powerful Anthem 225 (more control and pace).

I've had the Goldi's and prefer the 2XT's more refine sound (maybe it's the tubes :D )

Yep. After my friends heard the Nola KOs after I got them, 2 of them went out and bought a pair each. Best bang for the buck. I think these 10kspeakers sound even better than their 30 k Nolas.
Because I listen to ALL genres of music , these are the most versatile speakers I have ever heard.
When coupled with my Jadis I50 using KT 150 Tungsols, the sound is incredible

Are those speakers at their best so close to the wall even with the panels behind them? I would think in such a small space a more appropriately sized speaker might outperform a speaker too large even if the larger speaker is as good as yours.

I think the room is too small but until I sell them, it is what it is. They are posted for sale .

The wife just stole my streaming laptop that's good because now I can buy a new one with better streaming capabilities. But don't tell her that...

I am thinking that LFD must be a great match for the Air Tight speakers.

Serve me well....up to date pictures with Dunlavy SC IVa add into collection this summer and re-arrange set up along short wall... Sound a lot better with this set up.

Are those 6 inch thick marble slabs below all the gear? If so that sure is a heavy duty way to deaden any vibration.

Here's my 2 channel system. My first hifi speakers was a Magnepan MG1i and now after 25 years and many speakers later, I am back to MG1.7.
My system consist of LM-219, PWD2 direct to amp (bypassing the LM-219 preamp section), Bryston bdp-1, Audirvana on my iMac with Tidal, and SVS SB-16 Ultra.ImageImage

Are you powering the panels with the line magnetic?? How much power does it have?
Hi analogluvr, yes my LM219 is powering my Maggie with 24W. It's the sound I am looking for. Wonderful midrange, 3D imaging, great layering of instruments, and yes it has great panel bass within its limit. That's why I have my SVS sub coming in at 43Hz.

Remember that I am running my LM219 direct from PWD2 bypassing the preamp section. It was not a good match when running with the preamp. The sound was muddy and slow. I was gonna sell my Maggie, but then I tried direct connection to the amp. This is when the magic happens.

Yes I know what you mean about direct to your amp producing the magic. I use a Linn Akurate Kontrol 2 channel preamp due to number of sources, but if I run my CD player or phono stage direct into my Air Tight ATM1-S front inputs, the sound is unbelievable! For those who have not heard such a connection, it can be a shocking upgrade in sound. It is like live music when using direct in, compared to recorded music when using the preamp. The Linn is a great match for the Air Tight both in specs and sound quality, but you cannot beat direct input. I almost wish I had only one source, but I cannot give up my vinyl, or cd, or HDD downloads or SACD. I suppose a good problem to have...

How much does that Krell EVO heat up your room? I ask because I’m considering a 302e myself
