Latest desktop system.

I recently downsized from 8" studio monitors and a 10" subwoofer, but this system sounds pretty damn good for the money.

I know it unnessasary to have what are two complete two channel systems in the same room but it's fun and I really enjoy the different ways they do their jobs. :D

And you were making fun of my 4 monitors PC set up....

Never said I wasn't equally guilty of overindulgence.

By the looks of the photo, the room is treated to loud music on a regular basis

Here is what we enjoy on a daily basis. No tv upstairs. The living room houses the main system with a smaller system in the dining area. I'm often thinking of changing out something but I'm slow to do so. Mostly, we just enjoy the music. The tv is downstairs with HPM60's acting as both R/L channels and subwoofer. I keep thinking I should upgrade that area but I am often amazed at how well they perform in this roll.

File comment: The dining/family area get the wee el84 tubes. The JMR Duets do a surprisingly good job acting as bookshelf speakers in an actual bookshelf:-)

File comment: I keep a few Lp's upstairs. Over 2000 in the basement to draw from. I wish I could teach the dog to flip a record for kibble.

File comment: Tubes are a great pairing with the deCapo i's. Surprising good with the Gallo's too. I'm thinking of getting a high powered SS amp to see what the Gallo's are really capable of. This would also help to keep the room cooler in the summer as well.

Those are some serious pieces of rock you got there for those Gallo’s. Nicely done!

After experimenting I realized I prefer them raised. I built the stands for the deCapo's and the various sized acoustic panels for the room. I like working with wood. But I just didn't like the look of any of the wooden stands I saw for the 3.1's on line. To me the stands had to be inorganic. Stone. So I brought home a big chunk from the local landscaping firm and rented a big a$$ masonry saw and chopped it into 2 pieces sized to fit. Thin felt to protect the floors and blue tack to hold the speakers and bob's your uncle. And it really works. Heavy as anything but it works very well.

Nice job on those stands for the deCapo's, they suit them perfectly! Also like the stone for the Gallo's. A very nice, overall setup you have there.
Judging by the LP's on display, we enjoy some similar music.
