Hi there,

Anyone know of someone who can replace a 3.5mm termination on a headphone cable? it is cutting in and out when I move my player. I know Ring Audio does, but it is a 1 month waiting list plus it is on the east side while, I am generally in west toronto and commute to Barrie.

Thanks

Going to assume that Bay Bloor is too east for you? Can’t think of anyone in the west. You could try Parts Connexions. Don’t know if they perform repairs but this is pretty simple job. Doesn’t hurt to give them a call.

I am pretty sure that Take Five Audio will do this for you,I think they are in your required area,
but I am not 100% sure about this

I would try Andy at Michael Enterprises in Barrie. They are on Bell Farm Road. He'll likely be able to do the change for you without any drama. Fair prices as well. I took my Dual TT in to National Sound last year and it took forever, was very concerned about whether I would ever see it again. I'm just saying....

I have repaired (reterminated) many mini-phono plugs in the past with success. I can do yours for $10.00 plus parts if you wish. It will be done right but I make no guarantee with regards to longevity as ear buds on portable devices see much abuse. You stand to lose very little however. Call it an inexpensive favour.

Cheers,

Jon

Wow, Jon, that is an offer that is hard to refuse, especially given that it looks like we are both in Etobicoke. I will pm you tomorrow. Thanks.
