Just thought I would give everyone a head's up on this particular deal.

Shenzenhenaudio is selling the Stax SRS-5100 headphone system for what seems to be a ridiculously good price:
https://www.shenzhenaudio.com/stax-srs-5100-earspeaker-system-sr-l500-srm-353x.html?utm_source=GoDaddy&utm_medium=email&utm_content=NEW%21+Topping+MX3+DAC+%26+Headphone+Amplifier+%26+Bluetooth+Digital+Amplifier&utm_campaign=20170918_m141487193_NEW%21+Topping+MX3+DAC+%26+Headphone+Amplifier+%26+Bluetooth+Digital+Amplifier&utm_term=BUY+NOW

Free worldwide shipping.

I've bought a Gustard x20 Pro DAC from them, so they are legit.

Thoughts?

Looked in the comments and they said they would declare the value for customs as "what you want". I wouldn't buy from a company who is willing to do that, even if I was comfortable buying direct from China, which I'm not. If they are willing to cheat customs, what would they be willing to do to you?

The ad is misleading and can easily see how one could make a mistake on the cost.

SR-L500 headphone = $659.98
SRM-353 driver unit = $1060.00
SRS-5100 (combo of SL-500 headphone and SRM-353 driver unit) = $1658.98

Factor in the exchange, duty and shipping (if applicable) and there is not much of a savings vs the Canadian retail of $2200.00 for the same combo.

... which would be a MUCH safer purchase ... with a warranty.

That seems pretty standard. Unless there's a reason to (shipping insurance), why would you declare something as being what it's actual value is?
I do alot of shopping from sketchy aliexpress sellers and have had no problem *ever*, I would never set foot on ebay again except for collectables or industry promos I can't trade for. In all seriousness though, I've ordered a few cheap dacs, a head amp, at least a grand in knock off lego bootlegs (who the *** can afford lego nowadays?), a couple rasberry pi's to **** around with and a bunch of clothes.

Ah! Thanks, I did not see that. My bad...

Norm, as with most reputable brands, any Stax products bought from another country that is not the owner's country of residence, carry NO warranty whatsoever, except with the seller. Stax in Japan won't even accept them for service (yes, they won't even fix them and they will ship them back to you collect) unless you have proper paperwork from the seller indicating that they were sold in the same country and that you legitimately movec from that country to Canada within the warranty period.

Legitimate manufacturers do not allow grey market smugglers to sell their goods and they all make sure that you as the buyer of illegally sold goods are the one who pays in the end; period.
