I'm looking at upgrading from my Shure SE 535 to Campfire Audio Jupiters.
Is it worth the upgrade or is there something better to step up too?
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Never heard the Campfire – Like that industrial design.

The SE 535 is a great IEM. I use the SE 846 which if you can stretch your budget I would highly recommend. Phenomenal sounding IEM that is in a class of its own. The low end rivals some of the top full sized HP – not as spacious for obvious reasons, but deep and detailed without the usual 1 note bloat found with many IEM’s. To do any better you’d be looking at custom IEM’s or perhaps some of the mid to top end JH Audio.

Is this for portable use? If plugging directly into a smart phone drastic improvements can be made there with an external amp/DAC

It would be for portable gear...I currently have a Fiio x3 2nd gen and the Alpen 2 amp.
I have looked into the 846 ....but there's something about those Jupiters and even Andromedas that keep calling...lol
Thank you for the input ..I do appreciate it!!

Ya, they do look nice. But one thing to consider, especially if purchasing them without a demo, those sharp(ish) edges might result to an uncomfortable fit. Just an observation.

Owning the 535, at least you’ll have an idea as to how the 846’s will fit – assuming they are on your radar.
