Interested in your take on the mrspeakers aeon and whether anyone has info on whether Dan will make an open model of it? I have owned many headphones and have a preference for the open variety....presently have 3 keepers in the HD 800, Oppo pm1 and Stax 2701 and looking to add a light, comfortable set to compliment them but may gamble on the closed Aeons.I have owned Audeze,Hifiman and Mrspeakers alpha but was turned off by the weight.Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

The Ether model appears to be open, this is not to your liking?
Too bad their web marketing chose a black background to show black headphones..duh.

Hi...yes JP I have sent an email and have left a phone message and since this is the wekend I am not expecting a reply till next week. That being the case I thought I would delve into the minds of my fellow CAM members. Thank you for the response.

Yes Sasklite they have the ether and ether fow which are well rated open headphones but they carry considerable more weight than the Aeon as well as being double the price for marginal sound difference.
After trying out phones like the Audeze 2.2 fazors and Alphas I sold them not beacause of their sound but because of their weight and bulkiness, which is why I am looking at the Aeon and have kept the 3 sets I have. Thanks for the response.
