Jumped on a PBS offer for 2 tickets to a Winnipeg show plus the meet and greet for Joe Bonamassa by becoming a sustainer at $25/mth for a year. This was the first announcement of the show; no info on his site, the venue or Ticketmaster at the time.
today the tickets arrived. centre section, row 13.
row 11 tickets are $475+fees and taxes each.
I have to watch PBS more often for deals like this.

Hope he throws in some of his online merchandise as well. There is a lot of it.

He puts on an amazing show. I've got tickets for November in Hamilton. This will be the 4th time to see him live.
I'm envious for the meet and greet.
I guess I will have to start watching PBS

Saw Bonamassa at Budweiser Gardens in London and he was excellent.
I somehow signed up for his web page and while it's occasionally entertaining, the guy is a marketing machine.

I saw him in Minneapolis back in March. Hoping the show has changed up some from that lag of his tour.
The emails seemed to have tamed a little, only receiving the Monday night blues videos ones now.

Who is Joe Bonamassa? I've never heard of him before. You'd think if someone had the balls to charge $475, for 11th row, at his show in Winnipeg of all places, that he'd be pretty much a household name...wtf is going on with the music industry and concert promoters anyway?!?

I mention him in Canada and get Joe who? In Minneapolis I mentioned we had just seen Colin James and get the same response; yet the two are so very similar.
Those 2 $475 tickets are all that are left together so the others have sold. I once read that he prefers small venues for shows so the tickets have to cost more.

Apparently some blues guitarist who rose to fame at an early age, opening for BB King on tour when he was only 11...I guess you need to be a blues guy to have heard of him...

Saw Joe many years ago at Brock University.

The Blues are essential.

With the exception of Classical all the music we listen to today came from the Blues.

Joe packs as much blues/rock energy into a 2+ hour show as anybody.....twice at The Sony over the last couple of years.A little bit of Peter Green/Alman & Gallagher rolled into one........thanks for the PBS tip MP.

Of course. Blues is the original Folk music. Blues and Jazz are intrinsically linked. all modern forms of music from Rock to Rap and Hip Hop, Country, Disco, Trance, Techno,EDM, you name it. Despite what may appear to be a lack of similarity between these forms of music, all of them are an incremental progression of American Roots music, or the Blues.
