I brought my wife to the Wallflower tour last year, Massey hall also.

It's good but not to the point I'd repeat.

Not this time round, even though I enjoy Diana Krall.
I was at NAC Ottawa for the Wildflower tour, front row centre seats$$$

I was very disappointed when the show ended, only about 55 mins.

Although I have a huge respect for this velvety vocal princess and often listen to some of her recordings for comparing products as the productions are usually quite good, I would really like to hear her sing something other than " songbook " material. You could hear a lot of Elvis Costello influence in Girl in the Other Room and I thought she was going to head in a new direction , yet like movie stars, once you play the same type roles over and over , it starts to define your career in a way that when you try another style, the people dont always embrace it, so you go back to what works.

Hey, don't get me wrong, this woman is a remarkable artist and entertainer as well, but i would like to hear a change of pace. I think she has enough talent to pull off a completely new style

For Calgary, Jack Singer Concert Hall, I used the presale code "RECORD"

That code worked for me on May 9th and was able to secure 2nd row balcony right smack in the middle. Interesting that the public sale starts May 12th, but the secondary ticket market has had tickets for sale starting May 9th, although at inflated prices.

Cost of my tickets direct from Masey Hall were $124.50 each and the cost for the same general area tickets (but not as good) on the secondary marketed is $212 each...ouch

Thanks for the heads-up - I used the code to get a pair of tix.

Given her latest release, and the bulk of her catalogue and style, I think tickets should perhaps come with one of these, cuz it's going to be a total snooze-fest I'm sure... :)

I'll be at her Kitchener show again. The Wallflower show was good but not great, she played the songs and exited the stage after about an hour or so. I'm hoping she interacts more with the crowd this time around. Either way, it's nice to see her on the road and I'm looking forward to the show.

Update: I received a download code for Turn Up The Quiet from MusicBundles.com. It looks legit but I'm a little wary of this unknown source. Did anyone else get the download offer after purchasing tickets?

I did the download and it is a mp3. Probably better to ask for the CD and rip as required.

I say this with a certain amount of seriousness.
She's a fine pianist and great accompanist, and maybe for a year or so, she could adopt a stage name and go back to playing piano not as a band leader , maybe a co-operative thingee with musicians she likes, no vocals.
She might have to change hair color/style, dress differently and definitely do Not speak into a mic., kinda get back to her roots.
Ott.
