Wondering if anyone is going to see King Crimson?
I have never seen them before and am really excited for the show.
Going to see Dylan on the night before in Oshawa as well.

LOL. Greg Lake left them in 1969. They produced some great music since then.

No love for Tony Levine? Crimson has changed their lineup a lot of times, but there's always been some interesting music....

Will Gavin Harrison and Pat Mastelotto be in the line-up?

If so, count me in!

Only Robert Fripp remains from the original band .But they will be great me thinks. I have a double live cd they played Toronto 2015 (mind you the original band was from 1969)
I believe they are both in the band

I heard they will have 3 drummers..I'm in if they hit Vancouver.
My favorite lineup was Belew, Levin, Brueford..and of course Fripp.
Bummer..no Van date.

I think they've expanded the two trio concept to two quartets....
I've only had a quick glance at the web site, but didn't see an obvious list as to who's in the current lineup, and sometimes it's hard to tell from the photo's.

i saw them for the first time in 2015 in Toronto at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre - the show was later released on CD.

You're in for a treat, especially at Massey Hall.

I'd go, but I've blown my entertainment money for the year on Pixies, Spoon and a few other shows.

Oh yeah, I also bought a bunch of Blue Jay tickets

You are missing out on some great music since 1969 !!!!
Check out some YouTube videos from 2015 tour.
Amazing. Stuff.
The current vocalist, Jacko Jaksyk, is awesome.
A good guitarist as well.

Saw their last show in Quebec City.

I'm a long time fan and I didn't like the final result of their multiple drummers ''parade''. As I wrote at the time this is a complete waste of superb ressources.

Bill Rieflin contribution was close to nothing and Gavin Harrison looked like he was waiting for the show to end. Pat Mastelotto is clearly in charge of the drums trio and was enjoying himself. What a contrast....

Final verdict: as a whole it is a A+ show for those who can't compare it to the past.

It's in this kind of setting that I realy missed Bill.... :(

Long time fan here as well. I have seen about 14 shows since 1972. I saw two shows in Toronto in 2015 and I thought the three front line drummers were remarkable. Not what one might expect but incredibly intertwined and a very unique approach. Nothing waisted in my view for the shows I attended and the recorded material released to date. I don't know who was in charge of the drum trio during the shows but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was Gavin who took the lead in initial rehearsals at which time Fripp asked him to reinvent drumming.

As far as how Gavin looking as he did, well I wasn't at that particular show in Quebec, but at the Crimson shows I was at he looked pretty much the same as he did at all of the Porcupine Tree shows I attended.

Unfortunately I will not be attending the show in Toronto this time but in my view, while not my favourite incarnation of the group, this is truly an amazing incarnation. The approach and treatment of the back catalogue is simply amazing in my view...

That drum trio by the way has now changed with a new member and Rieflin is apparently doing only keyboards.

I look forward to recorded material from this most recent tour....

Might be last chance to see KC. Expect a carefully rehearsed show to be loud, hard, fast and very intense from minute 1. No prisoners, no noodling.

Last show was superb sound and in stereo, rare for live.

Last time interplay among 3 drummers very intricate, so they now have 4, coz 3 was not tricky enough. Harrison is a monster on the kit.

If you are not familiar with the band try recent version of Sailors Tale or Red, this will be indicative of what to expect.
