I didnt know they were in town... when I got to my friends across the street and saw the lineup, I was tempted to go... but was weighed down by all you can eat sushi.

Also didn't know there were people here who appreciated good music like DRI, Discharge and ST

It was sold out anyway...there were lots who were turned away.
And while I now listen to Coltrane and Bach and pretty much anything in between, that music takes me back to my misspent youth, so it has a special place ;)

I have been into DRI since grade 8, 1985. I knew they were playing here but Parent duties kept me from going. How embarrasing that someone hasn't , at least, heard of DRI.

Haha..that's about when I started listening to them as well..."Dealing with it" was a fantastic album, true classic...
No kidding, but yeah, well, I've never heard of lots of that 'classic rock' stuff that the old-timers on here talk about, and don't forget that punk rock was largely ignored unless it got into the news for some controversy (DK, Dayglos, ST, or what have you) ...what's worse than that is the sham that so-called 'punk' became though..I remember the first time someone said to me that punk was awesome, because they liked Green Day - I almost punched them in the face :)

I was pissed when i found out they played here, found out around midnight the night they played from a friend.
Would have been a fun show, i was a big fan in the late 80s.
I did not see any advertising for this show.....

Since getting rid of Facebook, I never know when shows are happening... I also never know what people are eating for dinner daily and stupid pictures of pets too, but it's the shows I miss that really gets me

Did anyone go to Rock Fest this past summer? Some good old classic bands on the bill most years.

Yeah, I was never into the whole punk rock thing, so I don't feel too embarrassed (actually, don't feel embarrassed at all!!!). I'm one of those older classic (Jurassic) rock types............

To anyone in T.O. that is interested in seeing D.R.I. tonight at the Velvet Underground @Queen & Portland, I have some extra tickets due to unforeseen circumstances. $35 each or $90 for all three. PM me if you'd like to purchase...
