Never been a real Springsteen fan as well but a friend of mine invited me at his latest in Montreal. Said I had to see him live. And man was he ever right. One of the best show i saw...

As for Gilmour, PF Ummagumma has been the first LP I bought as a teen in 1970. Been one of my favorite since. Just too bad he never comes to Montreal.

We had Waters on a popular local tv show a couple weeks ago. He talked about the show where he spit on a turbulent fan at Olympic Stadium (what year was that?). An interesting individual. I almost thought he was nice. More seriously, a very wise guy, intense and innovative... No voice though.

Waters has certainly mellowed over the years. Yes, quite intelligent. Extremely opinionated without a doubt.

Definitely not a great technical singer by any measure, but there is just a certain quality and tone to his singing voice that I have always loved. A menacing quality that matches the mood and atmosphere of the songs he writes.

In my opinion one of the top ten lyricists in the history of rock music.

I was at that show, what is missing from your story is the fact that the fan had thrown firecrackers onto the stage. He spit on him and then said "any more of that **** and we are leaving"

It was also a motivating factor for his concept of The Wall. I concur with good sound. His lyrics are among the best .....
