Canadian Tire are banging out these 5000mAh USB power packs for $12.50 on sale, the regular price is $50. The sale is on until Sunday 11th.

If you want to run a Raspberry Pi using battery power these might be worth a shot. 5V @ 1Amp is ok for a RPi etc.

That's a good deal. I ended up with the battery pack that I think Milesian wrote about and have been pleased with how it improved playback for me.

I think the Pi2 needs 2A and the latest Pi3b needs 2.5...

I was powering a Pi B+ running Openelec with this battery pack for a few hours without any problems.

My Pi2 + Adafruit 3.5 TFT running Volumio draws 0.4A according to my inline USB current/voltage meter. The current draw will probably be even less with a DAC Hat rather than the GPIO TFT.
