Looking for a technician in the Hamilton to Mississauga or Niagara corridor that you would trust to service a cosmetically mint Sony PS-X6.

Mine just dropped one channel, swapped carts and amps it is the turntable.

Or any suggestions on what to look for or what is the likely culprit. ?
I had just changed carts and headshells, from mm to mc cart.

With the amp cranked I get the faintest sound out of the dead channel.

I have a recollection of someone mentioning the spring terminals, that press against the head shell pins can sometimes get stuck in the depressed position. He was able to exercise them a bit with a tooth pick or something similar to free them up.
Good luck! Dave

Just had mine tuned up and modified by Glenn at Parts Connexion. One of the needed repair/mods was replacement of the headshell leads.

Dan had fixed up one of my amps a while back. Great guy but super busy. Like you say, not sure he messes with turntables.
