Hi everyone,

I wanted to write to inform you that our ad partners have requested that we run some special end of year ad campaigns for Microsoft, Olympus, and a few other companies.

These ads will show only to logged out users and appear as a blacked out screen with a banner image in the middle, like this:

Image

Do not be alarmed if you see these ads. This is not a virus or suspicious ad, it is directly from Microsoft, Olympus (the camera company), or other similarly large companies. If you are logged out, you can close the ad by clicking on the large X to the top right of the ad, and it will only show once per 24hr period.

If you are logged in to the site these will not show at all, not even once, and these campaigns end in December. The CAM/USAM login keeps you logged in until you log out so you should not have to see these at all as long as you don't log out.

If you experience anything funny such as the ads showing up many many times (despite closing them with the X) please let us know in the forum.

If you want a completely ad free experience you can always upgrade to an Ad Free account but please be aware there is no need to do that to avoid these December ads, the December ads of this type only show to users who are logged out. All members who are logged in will not see them.

That's an Intel chip in your Mac. Your Mac has some PC in it  only nice hardware, monitor and more user friendly and less of a target for scammers 8)

Given we live to serve them clearly shows they are more intelligent. Lack of thumbs is the only reason they do not rule the planet as the superior being. If they ever evolve opposable thumbs, the human race is screwed!
