Hey there,
I just bought a record cleaner and wanted to give some feedback. I went the add and clicked the give seller feedback button and a warning came up that said: "Your IP address (199.175.219.1) is the same IP address as the person you are leaving feedback for."

The add I'm trying to give feedback for is at: http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/ ... ean-fluid/

I'm not actually sure what my IP is but it isn't the same as the seller (who works across town and lives in another city).

Am I missing something?

Mark

Consumer IP address are Dynamic unless a Static IP is requested through your service provider. Keep in mind this is your modem connected to the provider and not your router (or router portion of the modem) that connects to you home network. Dynamic IP means that within a said amount of time, your address will be released and a new one issued. Your IP is not the same as the sellers. But if you are both serviced through the same Internet Service Provider there is a chance you received an older IP address that the seller was using when he/she placed the ad.

The link Jared provided above will display what this IP is. You can try rebooting your modem – this will sometimes release the IP and a new one issued. Otherwise you will have to contact admin.

When you were trying to leave feedback, were you at home or at work?

This is a rare situation, but you can try to post the feedback when you're at home.
