...last comment...the Perreaux handles the "complicated" info it gets from the TT (cart, arm) better than the micro basic (more competently)...for example...in passages that present choral, orchestral and standard rock instrumentation the micro basic was overwhelmed (muddy-ish reproduction)...the audiant sounds un-stressed...detail and soundstage intact...

Ahem....joking aside :) ... what lead you to the Perreaux specifically? There sure are a lot of choices out there....

I set 2kish as a max...bang for buck (the sucker is new/unused w original msrp around 3k cdn)...and I really like the flexibility w gain and loading (though currently on factory settings)...next up...a better cart :D...oh...and I find it pleasing to the eye...like my wife (but she has no gain settings) :lol:
