Wow! Your friend does amazing work! Lovely piece of furniture, enjoy!

Is that an old pair of Infinity's in the background?

Thanks!

Yes - RS4's...I purchased new over 30 years ago. Still love them!

Very nice! They reminded me of a pair that a friend of mine had back in 1982 or '83. I can't remember what model his were, but they were very tall towers.

Once again that looks beautiful. I can just imagine what he would do with the sleeves, tongue and groove or dovetail joinery from something choice exotic or Canadian with some type of contrasting finish. Resting on top of that beautiful cabinetry, would be NICE! Or even keeping with the original walnut with a glassy finish, so many possibilities there.

Thanks.....I think I better leave him alone for a bit!!
Don't want him running when he sees me or anything

He said his next project may be crafting a guitar for his brother-in-law.

Got'cha lol.

DIY guitars by skilled hands are some of the best sounding, same goes for other wood crafted instruments. My brother has a guitar a feller' out in Newfoundland made, it sounds stunning. He has some high end guitars. I must admit its not as pretty as others but it easily holds its own in terms of sound. It wasnt nessecarily made to look flashy anyway. BTW would you happen to have Gary's number handy? ;)

Yep that's the time frame...bought mine in '84.
We like what we like right?
I've had a few pairs of speakers through here but keep coming back to these and the others move on to new homes!

and this is why it was built in the first place - to serve as a functional piece for the gear & ultimately the music :D
