Ok.

How do you measure the grounding conductor impedance? Higher than 0.25 ohms?.

Impedence is not measured, it is calculated.
Resistance is measured, and done so with a DC voltage.

When I moved into my current home (a converted industrial loft), most of the place had no electrical supply, so when I had the electrician do the installation, I had him install 20 amp circuits using 10 AWG wire in metal conduits (mounted on, not in, the walls). I also supplied isolated ground, 95% copper Hubbell outlets from Voodoo cable.

And, interestingly enough, there is one component—out of dozens—that hums like a bugger in my place, but not anywhere else I've had it tested.

Whether this has to do with the isolated ground receptacles or with the fact that the electrical supply to my unit is "three-phase" rather than the standard residential "two-phase," I have no idea. When other things quiet down, I shall have the electrician back in to see if he can come up with an explanation and a fix. . .

Other than that one pesky component, however, I'm very pleased with the results—although in the interests of full disclosure, I also use Torus and Furman transformer-based power isolation units.
