Fantastic video. I only wish there was some text at the bottom of the screen explaining things in more detail.
Would this not be an amazing weekend type of course / workshop, in wich you could follow step by step and make your own tube? Obviously some parts would need to be prefabricated, such as the glass tubes, but I think it could be do able. :?:

If a person got good at it, it would make a great home based business. You could make tubes for audiophiles, old car and shortwave radio restorations. I bought a tube tester about ten years ago with the intention of repairing old car radios but never got around to it. Making the actual tubes would be very cool.
