I owned a second generation by Pancor, Dynaco.
It was great.

I do think 2500 is steep though..., regardless of the changes.

Get one from Tubes4HiFi for less money. Get it in kit form and save more.

When you think original Dynaco ST70 sold for $79 in kit form and $109 assembled in 1969
Now at $2500 is way too much, but hey they use the hype that is still high on this best bargains of the hifi from tube era ......

This generation has enough component updates and changes to the circuitry that one has to wonder if it should even be called a Dynaco ST70?

If someone came to market with what looks exactly like a Garrard 301 but updated it with a DD motor, could it still be called a Garrard 301?

Many new products enter the market with 'introductory pricing'; the original Oracle Delphi was $800 in '79...$600 less than an LP12. I think, given that this is the return of an iconic product and needs no introduction, it's re-entry qualifies for premium pricing since we all know, this is what the market will bear. $2500 is not ridiculous at all for a power amp in this day and age.
