Hello.
Is anyone aware of a source in Canada for Crystal or Ceramic phonograph cartridges? I'm looking for the type that has both 78 and 33/45 RPM needles. The FonPeak cartridge seems to be quite common but does not have a flip over needle.

Thanks.

Not quite that easy or simple as there are thousands of different types using hundreds of different mounts, screws, clips, etc... Finding one that works is the easy part, finding one that fits and has the correct geometry is much, much harder, especially if you do not have the original to compare to. Some models have a flip over needle, other have the entire cartridge that flips over.

As previously mentioned, Canadian Astatic is your best starting point.

Thanks for the replies. I've purchased from Canadian Astatic before but she didn't have many cartridges left, but I've left her a message to check availability. I'm looking for a stereo cartridge with the basic 1/2" screw mount spacing. This particular one is an Astatic Model 17 with a flip over N41 needle.

I thought I'd post my findings on the stereo ceramic cartridge in case anyone else is interested.

Canadian Astatic is a great source and friendly service but she is out of the 1/2" screw mount stereo ceramic cartridges.
Columbus Radio in Winnipeg still has a supply.

From the 'states I see 3 sources, prices for a typical Pfanstiehl P-132d (Similar to an Astatic model 17) are:
Voice of Music: US$19
Needles 4 Turntables: US$20
TurntableNeedles.com: US$28
