I've had Pete repair several things for me over the years and I've been happy with the results. 8 or 9 years ago he brought a Marantz home theate receiver back from the dead after a lightning strike/power surge, and more recently he has sorted out for me a Jolida JD-100 tubed CD player, and a Simaudio Celeste 4070SE power amp. Pricing seemed fair to me and turnaround time was VERY quick. Coincidentally, after all these years of literally daily usage the Marantz amp started acting up last week (unrelated I'm sure) and I mentioned to a friend Friday that I intend to have Pete look at it this week once it's all disconnected..

Another friend has had Pete go over for him multple mid-level pieces of gear of differing vintages, before he either puts them to use himself and/or sells them onwards. He continues to take gear to Pete so I'm assuming he's been happy as well.

The shop looks rather chaotic but so does mine (mine is probably even worse!) but to me it's the results that come out of it that I'm worried about.

Cheers

Slightly off topic, but for anyone looking for a great tech in Victoria BC, Daniel Daigle is the man. Very good work, really knows his stuff. I have contact info if you would like it. He has worked on a few vintage Sugden amps of mine in the past, a vintage receiver, and recapped my Celestion speakers yesterday. Excellent work.
