Afternoon, I purchased this used Denon unit and it works very well for the room constraints I had. Unfortunately the display on it seems very dim and uneven (even with the dim set to 100% brightness) and I was wondering if anyone has had to deal with this type of issue on perhaps a different unit. Before I open it up I'm wondering if this will be user serviceable (I can perform simple component soldering)

experienced this twice - not denon tho however both were a weak/failing display capacitor which caused a weak voltage

Had the same problem. Your display looks even brighter than the one I had. My unit was used so I assumed that was normal. You could try contacting Denon through this link. Sorry I can't be of more help.

P.S. Just looked at some of the promotion material that I downloaded when I had the unit. The display even looks dim in them. If you need user manuals or brochures, or Pix I can send you my PDF files.
