I have a single AE TD15X 15" woofer whose magnet shifted due to shipping damage and the voicecoil rubs. It is possible, but difficult to fix. Anyone wants it for any reason at all, can come pick it up before I trash it. I live near Spadina/Bloor in Toronto.

Also, remembered that I have a box full of unused 12V/7ah SLA batteries. Free for the taking.

Difficult but not impossible to fix. My speaker tech had to perfom that surgery on a woofer of mine and it turned out just fine!

Yeah, not impossible, but very difficult. Basically you have to shim the backplate up from the magnet which is the hard part as the magnets are super powerful. Once the backplate is shimmed, slide till the polepiece is centered (polepiece is attached to the backplate) and then remove the shims.

Getting the shims between the backplate and the magnet is the PITA.

I think everything has been accounted for. Stay tuned though as I have a boat load of DIY stuff for sale (not making this a sale thread, just saying). I need to pair down the steed. I'll likely have some more free stuff.
