Actually, it is good that you did. Some never mention the small rip offs.

I'm glad you did also, I was not aware that regular parcel post included tracking, therefore, I always opted for the more expensive Xpresspost.

Have you ever received a package and signed for it?

The delivery guy does not check your ID.
So any joe schmoo could sign for it.

Can't see how that changes anything or protects the shipper?

Because it proves it was shipped in the first place. Something the seller can't do at the moment. The fact that anyone can sign for it doesn't matter. (it should......but it doesn't )

Well if any Joe Schmoo signs for a package at your door by answering
a knock or ringing bell standing on the opposite side of the door of the
one knocking....you have some other serious issues unrelated to signatures........

EVERY SINGLE TIME I have taken a notice of delivery card to the post office
I HAVE been asked to show PHOTO ID ie: a Licence

Isn't that a leap of faith Erik , you calling someone
basically a thief when your just assuming he is. What if it is a
matter of the post office loosing or an employee theft and the offer
to reimburse was although maybe late to the buyer but not
denied by the seller.......at least till people post these revenge
threads. What do they solve other than you get to think a guy
who previously well packed and shipped a turntable of all things
was, perhaps a roose to make 30 dollars because he is a rip off artist?

This thread is being locked temporarily until the OP contacts us through the Report Problem link in the ad and we hear back from the seller. It will be unlocked as soon as we get things sorted out.

EDIT:
Thread unlocked as we have heard back from the seller who has been invited to share his side of the story and try to come to some sort of agreement with the buyer.

Good luck guys.

Locked again until the two parties work this out.

@ Jimmy

In the case of a Negative Feedback thread such as this one, my understanding is that once such a thread is started, both parties are to be allowed to present their side of the story. Unfortunately, sometimes some members start piling on the second party before they have a chance to present their side of a story, so it becomes necessary to temporarily Lock down the thread and keep it visible until such time as both parties express their view and are talking, then the thread can be unlocked. This is what I did in this case; both parties have been given the chance to present their side of the story and the discussion can resume.

In the case of a Fraud Warning, things are slightly different as sometimes the second party is reluctant to give their side of the story for various reasons. but there are reputations at stake. In both cases, members have the right to be made aware of such complaints in a timely manner, but when there are unproven or just plain wrong accusations, the thread should not only be locked but removed from view until both sides hash things out. Its a delicate balancing act deciding where the general members right to know stops and where the 2 parties rights to defend their reputations starts and that is part of the mod teams responsibility.

Pile-ons will and do happen; that is just human nature, but there is a huge difference between differences of opinions being expressed like in this thread and some of the vicious attacks that happen in other threads. Vicious attacks will not be tolerated on CAM and such threads can be locked, removed from view for review by the Mod team and, in extreme cases, sanctions may be applied, but luckily those cases are rare and far between. CAM rules are pretty clear, fair and fairly liberal and the Mods power to enforce them allows us a pretty wide latitude.

These things are so subjective and it is impossible to please everyone, but we are only human and we do try our best. Time to lock this one down again until the 2 parties work this out.
