After the ad has been shut off or sold, there is no option to totally delete it ?? Is there a option to do this ??

I know I have tried but no go. The ads seem to last on my page for about a year or so then the CAM system deletes them.

I have ads that are both 'sold' and 'off' that are still on my items for sale page - for over a year. I can't remove these but - I swear dealers can remove them. Why? I want them gone!!

I agree it would be nice just to clean up old unused data (ads) as it has no use anymore like sold, wanted, or off ads.

Yes - just to tidy it up a bit - like sweeping or dusting!
Why can dealers do it (or can they..)?

Mark the ad as "OFF" and it will stop showing up in search results and will no longer allow buyers to reply to it. Whether it shows up in your history the ad will not be useable by buyers once it is OFF. This works the same for all account types.

We realize that, but why can't it just be deleted as some other members can do so and dealers as well. Cam is a wonderful website just some option I wish we had to get rid of unused information

I think the want here is the ability to erase all traces of an ad.

even tho an ad is marked as sold or off doesn't mean it cannot be searched.

an old example of mine from 2013?! ( frick time flies ) can be found and retrieved with a quick google....

http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/ ... _model_17/

doesn't bother myself but this ability methinks appears to for others?

Disagree - keep the ads so that they can be searched to learn when products sold and for how much.
Otherwise, just what are you hiding??? lol
