Not factory installed...but one that plugged into the cigarette lighter...in my uncle's Camaro...circa 1967 - 68...

Front passenger would be given the task of playing 45's while we drove...I remember thinking at the time how crazy that was...now I wished I had of saved it!!!

YEP, in a 58, or was it 68 Plymouth Fury...or Sattelite.

Worked GREAT when parked.....when moving.....not so much.

&%$# I'm gettin' old.

The other thing that car had was SWIVELLING leather bucket seats, which were amazing. They worked like a charm, and I don't think any other auto manufacturer ever offered them.

With the resurgence of vinyl, maybe VPI, Thorens or Oracle will introduce a new model.

I remember those swivelling seats in a mid to late 70's GM products. Chrysler is the make that did offer a turntable option in the mid to late 50's, but not many cars went out of the factory with the option. Of course all the problems you can think with a turntable in a car did doom the idea to being dropped.

Some late 50's cars could be had with a TT, but probably not too many up in these parts ... cheap Canadians you know. That's why we got a Parisienne in lieu of a real B body Pontiac (Bonneville) with a real Pontiac (blue) engine until 1970.

Hey rednecknber!

My best friend and I tooled around in this Plymouth Valiant with the same slant six and a three speed floor shifter. That car engine was pretty quick and a legend in durability.

.........oh oh, right, this is an audio forum. Well, as a teenager in London, Ontario, there was a guy people said was a janitor at the local YMCA. He had a huge white Olds hard top he called The White Knight, with the blue window lights and a turntable hooked up to grill speakers

No, I never rode in it - I was too young and he was too cool :!:

Yeah I also had a friend with an 8 track in his car - what a nightmare it was trying to find a special song on that thing. Some companies actually made 8 track recorders - must have been a worse nightmare trying to record and fit the songs onto four separate tracks, I bet.

My 74 Monte Carlo SS had swiveling bucket seats as well as a gas chugging 400 cid engine. She was fun to cruise around in though. 8)
